A Place For Transformation

Harstine Island, Washington

Retreat, Re-center, Re-engage

What is Heartstone Hermitage?

HERMITAGE – A SECLUDED RESIDENCE, RETREAT, OR DWELLING PLACE, OFTEN IN A REMOTE AREA, OFFERING SOLITUDE AND QUIET.

Tucked into the forest of Harstine Island, Heartstone Hermitage is a folk school and retreat center that offers space to step out of the urgency of modern living and into deliberate, embodied rest.

We believe personal and collective transformation emerges when the nervous system feels safe enough. Our offerings are designed to cultivate resilience through building bodily safety, connection to community, and cultural touchpoints.

How We Cultivate Rest

  • We offer sauna and bathing experiences, and opportunities for immersion in the surrounding forest.

  • We host workshops and classes exploring somatics, nervous system education, druidry, magical principles, ecology, art, and craft. Offering space to learning through practice, reflection, and presence.

  • We offer individual somatic coaching for those seeking personalized support.

Sessions with Wolfe Erikson focus on nervous system awareness, resilience, and choice. This work supports regulation, transition, and deeper attunement to the body’s signals.

  • We host seasonal community events, including feasts aligned with the turning of the pagan wheel. These moments honor transition, rhythm, and shared meaning.

We also offer resilience practices and open space for connection — supporting people in strengthening relationships both here and beyond.
